Welcome to Flick! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Flick mobile application and services. By using Flick, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

To use Flick, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• Not be prohibited from using Flick under applicable laws
• Not have been previously banned from Flick

By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

2. Account and Profile

2.1 Profile Information

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information (real first name, correct age)
• Use recent, authentic photos of yourself
• Keep your profile information updated
• Not impersonate anyone else
• Not create multiple accounts

2.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your device
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

3. Acceptable Use

3.1 You May

• Create a profile and attend events
• Flick other users to show interest
• Chat with your matches
• Share your phone number with matches (optional)
• Report inappropriate behavior

3.2 You May Not

• Harass, bully, or threaten other users
• Send unsolicited sexual content or make unwanted advances
• Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity
• Solicit money or promote commercial services
• Use Flick for prostitution or human trafficking
• Post illegal content (child exploitation, violence, hate speech)
• Scrape or harvest user data
• Reverse engineer or attempt to hack the app
• Create spam accounts or automate interactions
• Discriminate based on race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation

4. Content

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, bio, messages). By using Flick, you grant us a license to:

• Display your profile to other users at the same event
• Store your content on our servers
• Process your data to provide the service

This license ends when you delete your content or account.

4.2 Content Guidelines

Your photos and bio must not contain:

• Nudity or sexually explicit material
• Violence, gore, or disturbing imagery
• Hate symbols or discriminatory content
• Contact information (Instagram, Snapchat, etc.) – use matches to connect
• Promotion of drugs, weapons, or illegal services

4.3 Moderation

We reserve the right to:

• Review and remove content that violates these Terms
• Suspend or ban accounts for violations
• Report illegal activity to law enforcement

5. Events and Festivals

5.1 Event Access

Flick is designed for use at specific events. You must:

• Scan the event's official QR code to join
• Be physically present at the event location
• Comply with the event's own terms and conduct rules

5.2 Event Organizers

Flick partners with event organizers to provide the service. Event organizers:

• Do not have access to your personal profile data
• Receive only anonymized, aggregated usage statistics
• Are separate from Flick and have their own terms

6. Safety and Reporting

6.1 Reporting

If you experience or witness:

• Harassment or inappropriate behavior
• Fake profiles or scams
• Safety concerns

Please report immediately via the app or email safety@helloflick.com.

6.2 Our Response

We take reports seriously and will:

• Investigate within 24-48 hours
• Remove violating content
• Ban users who violate policies
• Cooperate with law enforcement when necessary

6.3 Meet Safely

When meeting matches in person:

• Meet in public, well-lit places
• Tell a friend where you're going
• Trust your instincts – if something feels off, leave
• Don't share personal information (address, financial details) until you're comfortable

7. Privacy and Data

Your privacy matters. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand:

• What data we collect and why
• How we use and protect your information
• Your rights regarding your data
• How long we keep your data

8. Disclaimers

8.1 No Guarantees

Flick is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• That you'll meet someone or make matches
• The accuracy of user profiles (users provide their own information)
• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• The behavior or intentions of other users

8.2 User Interactions

Flick is not responsible for:

• Interactions between users (online or offline)
• User conduct or content
• Disputes between users
• Any harm resulting from user interactions

You use Flick at your own risk. Always exercise caution when meeting strangers.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Flick and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (which is $0, as Flick is free)
• We are not liable for user conduct, content, or third-party actions

10. Termination

10.1 You Can

• Delete your account anytime via the app
• Leave an event anytime (keeps your profile for future events)

10.2 We Can

• Suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms
• Remove content that violates our policies
• Discontinue the service at any time (with notice)

Upon termination:

• Your access to Flick ends immediately
• Your data is deleted according to our Privacy Policy
• These Terms continue to apply to past conduct

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

• We'll update the "Last Updated" date
• We'll notify you in-app for significant changes
• Continued use means you accept the new Terms

If you don't agree with the updated Terms, please stop using Flick and delete your account.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your State/Country], without regard to conflict of law principles.

12.2 Arbitration

Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, not court proceedings. You waive your right to a jury trial or class action lawsuit.

Exception: You may bring claims in small claims court if they qualify.

13. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Flick
• Severability: If any provision is invalid, the rest remains in effect
• No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right doesn't waive that right
• Assignment: You can't transfer these Terms; we can
• Force Majeure: We're not liable for delays due to events beyond our control
